1. What is a Liquid Facelift?
A Liquid Facelift is a technique for injecting advanced dermal fillers, such as Volume Lift™, JUVEDERM®, Radiesse® and Restylane® to lift and contour facial features. ReNew Body Contouring & Medical Spa offers a non-surgical Liquid Face Lift that can be undertaken to accomplish any of the following:
- Gentle lift of individual (or overall) facial features
- Reduced wrinkles, creases, line or folds
- Restoration of natural, curved facial contours
- A more rested, energetic look
- A friendlier smile
2. Does the Liquid Facelift require surgery? Do I need general anesthesia?
No this is not surgery. It is an office procedure that uses local topical numbing cream applied to the area of injection.
3. How long does a Liquid Facelift last?
It depends on the product as to how long it will last. For example if you use Artifil and Volumalift it could be permanent .
4. Can I have a Liquid Facelift procedure done if I’m pregnant?
No, It is not recommended.
5. Is the Liquid Facelift procedure FDA approved?
6. What is the VolumaLift™ ?
The VolumaLift™ is an injectable, volumetric facelift designed to bring back youthful beauty, vitality and attractiveness through the volumetric replacement of soft tissue that has been lost with age. The VolumaLift™ restores “the fullness of youth” safely, effectively and non-surgically. As the name itself implies, the VolumaLift™ produces a rested and lifted look.
7. What is a youthful face?
A youthful face has a series of attractive convexities and corresponding concavities, fullness of the brows, cheeks and jaw line that we define as attractive. The youthful and attractive face is supported by six major deep buttresses of fat that lift and support the overlying skin
8. What happens when we age?
As we age our facial skin and soft tissue undergoes the “3 Ds” of aging:
a) deterioration – Wrinkles, pores, textul brown and red pigmentation.
b) descent – Droopiness of the soft tissue.
c) deflation – Loss of the above supportive fat buttresses.
For skin deterioration we have the FotoFacial™, Radio Frequency: non-ablative lasers, peels and microdermabrasion, Botox®, intradermal fillers and medical skin care. For the descent, we have EasyLift™ and for deflation, the VolumaLift™ or Fat Transfer.
9. How does the Voluma Lift™ work?
Your VoLuma Lift™ physician or health care professional will take an injectable gel product and inject specific amounts of the product into the selected fat buttress regions, restoring the 3 dimensional structure to the soft tissue envelope, plumping out, filling and lifting the overlying facial skin and restoring the attractive “fullness of youth”.
10. How long does the VolumaLift™ take to perform?
The actual injectable facelift and volumization takes less than one hour to perform.
11. Is the VolumaLift™ painful?
The VolumaLift™ is not very painful. The soft tissue is frozen with local anesthesia prior to the procedure and the needles are passed through only the frozen skin. The injectable gel used during a VolumaLift™ is deposited very deeply, along the facial bones, where there are very few pain fibers. The injectable fillers are much more painful when injected into skin lines then when they are used to deeply to contour skin and shape the face. There is virtually no pain after the Volumalift™ is completed.
12. Is there any downtime after a VolumaLift™?
Yes, there is an unpredictable degree of bruising (everyone is different), one should plan on between 1-3 days before you can use camouflage makeup effectively. One should also discontinue any medically unnecessary aspirin, NSAIDS and blood thinners.
13. Are there any risks to a VolumaLift™?
The VolumaLift™ is very safe and you may expect some bruising and swelling, asymmetry (which is correctable), as well as a very remote chance of allergic reaction or infection. Lumpiness may occur, but is usually palpable and deep and not visible. Simple massage will usually correct any lumpiness.
14. How long will my VolumaLift™ last?
The duration of your injectable lift effect will vary, depending upon the product used, between 7-8 months for short term gel filler products. The off-the-shelf gel fillers may only last several months when injected into the dermis and skin, but will last much longer used for a VolumaLift™ when injected deeply along the bone. The long term gel fillers will preserve the volumization and rejuvenation for years.
15. Am I a VolumaLift™ candidate?
If you appear “tired”, sunken, deflated or hollowed then you are likely a VolumaLift™ candidate. If the tail of your brow is drooping, you have bags and/or hollows under your eyes, have lost your strong or full cheek bones, have deep smile and marionette lines, developed an early jowl, and have lost lip volume or have a droopy nasal tip, then you are likely a VolumaLift™ candidate.
16. Can I combine my VoLumaLift™ with other procedures?
Yes, the VolumaLift™ goes well with a ThreadLift™, PhotoFacial®, or photorejuvenation, Botox®, intradermal line fillers and Thermage®. Physicians may elect to combine several of the minimally invasive procedures together for best results.
17. How often wouLd I need to repeat the VoLumaLift™?
If you use short term products in your VolumaLift then you may need to repeat the procedure once every 6-8 months with the short term gel fillers, while the long term gel products may preserve the VolumaLift™ effects for years.
18. What kind of results might I expect?
It is reasonable to expect a pleasing, natural restoration of the volume, shapes and curves that we define as youthful and attractive.
