Liposuction

Many individuals are unhappy with areas of localized excess fat on their body. Luckily, there are plastic surgery procedures, such as liposuction, that can help. Renew can provide you with assistance if you have accumulated fat deposits in any of the following areas:

The cheeks, jowls, neck, hips, and buttocks
The upper arms, inner thighs, or outer thighs
Breast / chest area or inner knee
The back, calves, and ankles
The abdomen and waist
Additionally, liposuction procedures are often used to treat a condition known as gynecomastia, or male breast enlargement.

While liposuction procedures can be used to help treat excess fat in the above areas, it is not recommended as an overall weight loss solution, nor as a way to remove cellulite. There are alternative treatments you can discuss with the professionals at Renew Body Contouring & MedSpa to address these concerns.

Finally, liposuction can be performed on multiple parts of the body during the same procedure, and can also be combined with different plastic surgeries.

If you have already had liposuction and want to contour your shape even more or correct your liposuction surgery Renew can provide you with a non surgical alternative.

Your Personal Consultation
Because your body is different from everyone else’s, Our Plastic Surgeon will meet with you privately before your procedure to discuss your personal aesthetic goals and will tailor your procedure to fit your body type and your wishes.
Any questions about the procedure as well as the recovery process can be discussed in detail at this time.

How Will My Plastic Surgeon Evaluate Me for Liposuction?
When discussing your liposuction goals, we will want to discuss your medical history with you in detail, especially your weight loss / gain history, and your plans for weight loss or gain in the future.
You will additionally need to be ready to discuss any prior medical conditions, treatments, and surgeries you have had. All of these details will help your surgeon better tailor your liposuction procedure to you specifically.

How Is Liposuction Performed?
A small, hollow tube called a cannula is inserted through a tiny (almost invisible) incision in the area that is to be treated. The cannula connects to a vacuum pressure unit that will vacuum away your unwanted excess fat under the guidance of your surgeon.

Are There Variations to the Liposuction Technique?
In most procedures, fluids are injected into the areas that are going to be treated. Variations in liposuction procedures can take place either by injecting larger than normal amounts of fluid (a tumescent procedure), or by withholding the fluid altogether (a dry procedure).

Liposuction is permanent and doesn’t always give you the results your looking for. We always recommend non-surgical approaches like CoolSculpting or BodyFX for permanent fat reduction without surgery.
